Patrick is now enjoying a well-earned retirement after a career to be proud of. He is making the most of time with his grandchildren and being able to travel at a moment’s notice.
Patrick can still be coaxed in for the occasional morning tea to assist as a sounding-board for the team.
Patrick graduated from Otago University in 1978 and 1980 with degrees in Commerce and Law.
Patrick’s experience is wide, ranging from District Court up to Supreme Court level.
Patrick has appeared in over a hundred Jury trials as well as countless appearances in other jurisdictions including the Family Court and Employment Tribunal.
Patrick based his practice on having a sympathetic ear and was driven by the concept of fairness.
RACHAEL WEBB
Partner
Rachael works primarily in the area of Family law with 30 years’ experience.
Rachael applies a common sense, empathetic approach to the many issues facing clients in the family law area.
Rachael will assist you to find practical and solution-focussed outcomes and guide you through the process of resolving disputes whether within or outside the Family Court.
Where matters are urgent to protect yourself or your family, or to respond to applications served on you, Rachael is able to assist in an efficient and timely manner.
Outside work, Rachael loves to explore the great outdoors, hiking, running and spending time with her family and friends.

JESSICA CHURCHMAN
Partner
Jessica works primarily in the area of Family law.
Jess is a Lead Provider of Legal Aid services and is also appointed Lawyer for Child. Jess was admitted to the Bar over 12 years ago.
Jess values her relationship with clients and will assist you to navigate the often difficult and emotional experience of Family Court with practical, honest advice. Jess believes that every client deserves to be represented by a lawyer who cares, and who they can trust.
Jess can assist with a range of Family Law matters including Care and Contact, Family Violence, Contracting Out and Relationship Property matters. Jess also offers conveyancing services for the sale, refinancing, and purchase of residential property. She also has experience in Employment law.
Outside of work, Jess likes to spend time with her husband and three young children, as well as with her two Black Labradors. She is also an avid fan of reformer pilates.

ASHLEE THOMPSON
Lawyer
Ashlee is an experienced and empathetic family lawyer.
She is experienced in a wide range of Family Court matters including Care of Children, Family Violence and Oranga Tamariki matters. Ashlee can also assist with Contracting Out and Separation Agreements.
Ashlee is a Lead Provider of Legal Aid services, and also a qualified Duty Lawyer. She also works in the complex area of Mental Health Law, and is approved as a Lawyer for Subject Person to assist vulnerable people in Court.
Outside of work, Ashlee likes to spend time with her friends and family, is an avid reader, and loves exploring new places.

KYLIE BRIGGS
Associate
Kylie is a very experienced family lawyer. She is a Lead Provider of Legal Aid services and also approved Lawyer for Child. She also undertakes work for vulnerable people as an approved Lawyer for Subject Person.
She is experienced in a all areas of Family Court work, with a particular interest in Parenting matters. Kylie can also assist with Enduring Powers of Attorney and Wills.
Kylie will offer you sound, reasoned advice and is compassionate and caring. Her experience is evident in her practice, and in the excellent results she gets for her clients.
Outside work, Kylie spends time with her family, enjoys gardening and loves to travel.
